Registration for Fall 2024 Flag Football runs through September 9, 2024!
Q: What Format Does the South Indy Flag Football League Follow?
A: South Indy Flag Football follows the popular 5 vs 5 game of non-contact, recreational, co-ed flag football. Our program is geared towards boys and girls in 2nd-5th grade, and we limit teams to 8 players to ensure maximum participation for all!
Q: What are the Divisions of play?
A. In an effort to promote fairness and even competition, players will be placed in their respective division based on grade level:
2nd Grade
3rd Grade
4th Grade
5th Grade
Note: Kids may “play up” one grade level, but may not “play down.” If you decide to “play up,” please email us at: [email protected] after registering so that we are aware.
Q: What is included in the registration cost?
A. Registration includes a 4-week flag football season, free on-site coffee, unique college-themed jersey’s, paid referees, fields with pylons and yard markers, and a super-fun atmosphere!
Q. What about equipment – will my child need anything that isn't covered in the registration cost?
A. The only MANDATORY items that every child must wear include:

Q: What is your concussion protocol?
A: Flag football is designed to limit collisions, however, there is an inherent risk involved in every sport. In an effort to further prevent and recognize potential concussions, our organizational policy requires that any participant suspected of sustaining a head injury be removed from play immediately, and that any participant who does sustain a head injury is cleared by a licensed healthcare provider before the player can return to play.
Additionally, our organization requires league administrators to undergo formal training through the CDC’s Heads Up program.
Q: Where are the games played?
A: Games will be played at Summerfield Park in Greenwood (275 West Worthsville Road, Greenwood, IN 46143
Q: When are the games played?
A: Game times will be Saturday mornings from 9AM to Noon, and are set to begin on September 28. No games will be played on October 12.

Q: Will there be concessions or other food available?
A: Huge Impact Mobile Food Truck will be available on-site with breakfast and lunch options. Outside coolers with snacks and drinks are also permitted. Alcohol is not permitted on park grounds.
Q: Are there practices?
A: Teams will have the opportunity to practice up to 3 times for one-hour prior to the start of the season (date/time/location at coaches discretion). Once the season begins, teams will be limited to a 45-minute practice session on Saturday mornings prior to their game.
Q: How are teams formed? Is there a draft?
There will be a player evaluation for each grade level in mid-September, and teams will be formed by league administrators following the evals. There will NOT be a draft.
Note: We are limited to 8 teams of 8 players per grade division – only the first 64 players in each division to register will be guaranteed a spot.
Q: Can we request to play with a teammate?
Each player may request up to three friends/family to play with, but will only be guaranteed ONE Teammate request. Sibling/family requests will be honored.
Q: What is the Refund Policy?
A: Refunds will only be issued if we can't make a division or there are extenuating circumstances that make participation impossible. Refunds WILL NOT be issued if all of your Teammate requests are not fulfilled.
